President Lucas, of the Union Club, received a telegram last night from his attorney, Newton Crane, who had followed Mullane to Cincinnati, announcing an order enjoining that pitcher from playing with any club but the Union club of this city had been issued by one of the Cincinnati courts.-St. Louis Globe-Democrat, May 10, 1884
