The Brown Stockings beat the Bostons at Grand Avenue Park yesterday afternoon, by a score of 9 to 5. Not more than 500 spectators were present, and the game was by no means interesting.-St. Louis Globe-Democrat, July 9, 1876
The Brown Stockings jumped out to a 6-0 lead and were up 9-4 after five. It looks like Pearce, Cuthbert and McGeary did most of the damage.
